This video dives into many elements that beginners using Indesign can benefit from. The man in the video shows steps like creating text boxes, aligning margins, and he shows a lot of shortcuts also. The man in the video Dan, shows how to make spreads versus single pages. Spreads can be used to make multiple pages like magazines and pamphlets. He shows how to make the multiple pages, have the same elements by using tools like the layers and copy and pasting. He talks a lot in his videos about "bleeding" which can happen when elements are off the margins of the page which can tend to happen with a lot of text.

This video explains how to import and export images and elements in InDesign. It also explains master pages. When you have a multiple-page document, such as a brochure or catalog, using master pages will save you time. Master pages are used to automatically insert layout elements on various pages. All elements of the master page are placed onto any page you choose, and these are by default not selectable, which allows you to further develop the page without worrying about accidentally modifying the pre-defined elements.

This video talks about line and paragraph breaks. With any range of text that's followed by a  return, constitutes a paragraph, whether it contains one character, one word or 100 lines. Press Enter to add a paragraph return. Depending on how you've set up styles or applied formatting to change the look of your text, the type following the carriage return may take on a different appearance from the other paragraph. A forced line break, lets you to reshape the look of a paragraph or quickly keep a name from hyphenating across a line.
